The 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨 (𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨) 𝐃𝐚𝐲 program, in collaboration with the 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, brought stories to life for learners under the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐍𝐄𝐃) program through an interactive storytelling activity on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐆𝐅𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐒).

Featuring the classic Filipino fable “𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐤𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠,” Book Club adviser 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚 𝐐. 𝐀𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 led an engaging storytelling session that went beyond narration by incorporating acting and active participation. Selected SNED learners portrayed the characters, bringing the story to life while encouraging their fellow learners to take part in the experience.
The activity was facilitated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐂. 𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐞𝐠, SNED teacher, who helped provide an engaging environment where learners could participate in meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.
Following the storytelling session, the learners shared a meal and participated in recreational games, including 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐩 and 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥. Prizes were also given to recognize their participation and add excitement to the activities.
Through this collaborative initiative, storytelling, play, and social interaction became opportunities for the learners to engage with stories, express themselves, and enjoy learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.
