The Science Department effectively organized a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) focused on the theme “Gender-Based Lesson Planning Using the ILAW Framework.”

The event took place in the Biology Laboratory on September 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM, providing a significant opportunity for Science teachers to engage in professional development, collaboration, reflection, and the exchange of classroom experiences.

This initiative was led by Ms. Irene P. Castronuevo, Head Teacher, alongside Ms. Lorraine Voloso, Master Teacher II, while Ms. Karen G. Abu, Master Teacher I, acted as the Resource Speaker.

Through engaging discussions and collaborative interactions, teachers examined effective methods to incorporate gender-responsive and inclusive strategies into their lesson planning and teaching practices. The session prompted educators to evaluate their existing approaches and uncover new insights.
