As part of the program, faculty members, staff, and learners watched an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) highlighting the significance of the landmark ruling issued on July 12, 2016 by the Permanent Court of Arbitration. The award affirmed the Philippines’ maritime entitlements in the West Philippine Sea under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and demonstrated that disputes among nations can be addressed through peaceful, lawful, and rules-based means.
The activity served not only to commemorate a significant milestone in Philippine history but also to deepen the school community’s understanding of national sovereignty, responsible stewardship of the country’s marine resources, and the importance of upholding international law. It likewise emphasized the vital role of informed and patriotic citizens in protecting the nation’s interests for the benefit of present and future generations.

Through activities like this, GFMINHS continues to promote civic consciousness, patriotism, and a greater appreciation of the values that strengthen our nation.
