𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — Ferrerians, particularly students from the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 (𝐒𝐏𝐉) and 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐒𝐓𝐄), are currently participating in the Day 1 activities of the 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐩𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐔𝐏) at the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 – 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 (𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐈) in Taguig City.
With the theme, “𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨 𝐀𝐤𝐨: 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬,” the program is equipping aspiring campus journalists and science advocates with the knowledge and skills needed to communicate scientific concepts through accurate, engaging, and impactful multimedia storytelling.
The ongoing sessions include an 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨 𝐀𝐤𝐨 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Through lectures, workshops, and interactive activities, the Ferrerian delegates are enhancing their competencies in science writing, visual storytelling, and digital content production while strengthening their role as responsible science communicators.
The delegates are accompanied by the school’s paper advisers, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐆. 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐬, 𝐑𝐲𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐌. 𝐁𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐅. 𝐉𝐚𝐥𝐣𝐢𝐬, whose guidance and mentorship continue to enrich the students’ learning experience. Their participation is made possible through the full support of the school principal, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐏.
